A number of our customers have contacted us regarding difficulty reconnecting their Trimble LSI GS series sensor to its original display, especially after new batteries have been installed.
Some believe they have a defective sensor or display, which may in fact be the case, however we encourage our customers to first take these troubleshooting step to make sure there is not a much simpler, and cheaper, solution to the connectivity issue.
Sometimes Trimble LSI sensors disconnect from their display after batteries are changed. The sensor ID will still show up in the display, however the connection between the sensor and the display will be sporadic. The troubleshooting trick is to see if fully deleting the sensor ID from the display and then re-aquiring the sensor will solve the connectivity issue.
We have created a little video below highlighting this process. Copies of all the display manuals are also available below for download. Please reference the "Sensor List" or "Display Settings" section for instructions on deleting and connecting sensors.
